2020 Fall Hair Trends September 2020

While recent times may deliver the unexpected, staying on top of the latest trends doesn’t seem to be diminishing. Learning what some of the latest hair trends are this fall may sound more enticing now than ever before. Keeping up with new hair styles can make those redundant days spent at home a little less dull and will have you looking your best when you see the friends you’ve longed to see. Signature’s skilled stylists have collected some of this fall’s latest hair style trends and are eager to share our favorites.

Trending DIY Hair Styles

A simple DIY hair style can transform your everyday appearance into something extra ordinary. From playful to romantic, don’t hesitate to try one (or all) of these new trends…you won’t regret it.

Barely There Waves

For a low-key style, try adding some subtle waves to your hair. Barely-there waves can be created by using a flat iron on low heat and some texturizing spray. Soft waves are perfect for fall as they will help retire the popular summer beach wave look. Your new waves will give you a soft, romantic appearance perfectly complementing your favorite sweater and boots.

Textured Ponytails

Ponytails are typically overlooked when trying to plan a hair style for your special event.  This fall they will be seen more often and with some added charm. Ponytails will be worn big and texturized. Styling your hair before you tie your locks together will give you a stunning ponytail. Teasing the ends will give your tail added volume to perfectly offset your face. Don’t forget to hide your elastic band with a lovely bow or ribbon for that darling, finishing touch every ponytail needs.

Romantic & Messy Updos

Fall Hair 2020 Trends are Seen With Romantic BunsPerfectly messy hair is trending pretty hard right now, which is great news for all of us with less-than-perfect hair styling skills and great for when you are in a rush. The messy updo is also a great option if your hair tends to incur fly-aways, frizz or untamed curls on a daily basis. Low buns, top knots, twists or pinned-up curls acquire a beautifully effortless and relaxed feel when they are messy. Messy hair is worn not only for casual events, but also for formal events as well. You can’t go wrong with this trend!

Hair Accessories

When it comes to trending hairstyles, dressing up your 'do with something in the accessories category is at the top of the list for fashion essentials. Adding a hair accessory to your hair is a simple way to take your look to the next level. From bows to dainty pins finding the perfect accessory is definitely a must this fall.

Soft Ribbons

While ribbons continue to trend this fall, they are designed a little different this season. Ribbons dominating the runway are longer, silkier and less structured. Ribbons and bows really dress up the hair and add a girly finishing touch. Tie a ribbon onto your ponytail, around your bun, or at the end of a braid, and you’ve instantly added a touch of elegance to your look.  If you are feeling fancy, you can weave a ribbon into your braid for an extra-special touch. Ribbons can be added to your hairstyle for both casual and formal outfits.

Headbands

Due to their versatile features, headbands continue to trend.  This fall, the style of headbands is moving away from the puffy headbands of spring and summer and toward embellished and ornate designs. To jump on the headband trend this season, try wearing a simple wire headband, a pearl-laced headband, or a jeweled headband. Throw a headband on top of polished curls, a messy low bun, or even a high ponytail and you’ve completed the perfect touch.

Head Scarves

Fall 202 Hair Trends are Seen With Head ScarfsHead scarves are trending fast and are one of our favorites! Similar to ribbons, a silk scarf can be worn in a variety of ways. On the catwalk, scarfs were worn folded long and skinny and tied on top of the head with the ends left loose. You can also easily match your tie with big earrings for a statement look to love.

For a simple way to wear your scarf, tie the piece around your ponytail or bun and either knot it into a bow or let the scarf hang.  There are many chic and effortless ways to wear your scarf and all will add instant glam.
