Beautiful Updo Hairstyles for Long and Medium Length Hair

Braided Ponytails

Who would have thought your grade school hairstyle would look fabulous as an adult? That’s right, braided ponytails create a look still appreciated today for its beauty and playfulness. Achieve this look by blow drying your hair straight and placing hair in a high or low ponytail. Proceed to braid hair into a three-strand braid and tie with a ribbon for some added charm. For a complete, polished look we recommend using a pomade to ensure your flyaway hairs are tamed.

Style with a Romantic Twist

A romantic twist is one of our favorite hairstyles and is an elegant option for holiday parties or dinners. To master this look, you’ll need to add a volumizer through your roots and rough dry your hair. Once your hair is dried, part down the middle and spray a salt spray over your ends.  Blast once more with your hair dryer to create a rough base. Start this look by twisting sides away from your face. Be sure to add hair as you move your way down the hairline (like you would with a French braid). Add bobby pins throughout for support. Replicate on the opposite side of your head. Take the hair hanging at the back of your head and roll it upward into a messy updo. Pin in place and Voila! Your messy, romantic look is complete.

Create a Sleek Look with a Low Bun

It’s common for women to wear more makeup during the holiday season and nothing complements darker, more prominent eyes and lips than a sleek, low bun, otherwise known as a chignon. To master this look, you’ll need to add some styling cream to your damp hair to flatten the hair against your head. Tightly secure hair at the nape of your neck with a ponytail. Braid the ponytail with a three-strand braid and coil into a bun. Secure with pins. For a shine that really finishes the look, add a small amount of hair serum to your entire head. And just like that you have a classic yet captivating look!
