m’lis Total Body Cleanse Review January 2015
We are well into January when it seems everyone’s new year resolutions already seem to be fizzling out. Sometimes you just need a kick start. Last fall I discovered the m’lis Total Body Cleanse which is a gentle, healthy way to detoxify and jump start any lifestyle change or even weight loss program.
Why cleanse? By ridding the digestive tract of accumulated waste, the body is able to absorb nutrients more efficiently. Within just a few days I noticed increased energy, alleviated chronic joint pain, mental clarity and glowing skin.
The Total Body Cleanse kit comes with 14 Essential Greens packets and 14 Power Cleansing Packets. You take 2 of each, twice a day, for 7 days. Days 1 and 2, you eat clean and start flushing toxins with 64 oz of (distilled) lemon water. m’lis recommends sticking with protein like chicken or fish and eating vegetables, fruit and whole grains. Stay away from refined sugars and simple carbohydrates. Basically you want to avoid processed foods and stick with real whole foods.
Days 3-5 are liquid only days. Lemon water, non-caffeinated herbal tea and fresh vegetable juice are recommended, until the final 2 days where you can reintroduce fresh fruit and vegetables.
I’ve started many cleanses only to quit a day or two into them feeling weak with low blood sugar. Quitting caffeine always gave me terrible withdrawal headaches, but felt amazing during and after my one week Total Body Cleanse.
This cleanse is recommended up to 4 times year seasonally when your body needs a reboot. Now that the holidays are over, it’s a great time to cleanse. m’lis Total Body Cleanse retails for $69 and is available at Signature Salon & Spa.
The M’Lis Total Body Cleanse is NOT recommended if you are under medical treatment. Please get approval from your physician before starting any cleansing program.
Do not detoxify if you are pregnant or nursing, have a heart condition requiring blood thinners, have cancer or have not been in remission for 2 or more years. It is also not for those taking epileptic medication.
If you are taking any prescription drugs, m’lis recommends you continue to take them while on the Total Body Cleanse.
