Twilighting

The new Twilighting trend consists of brown hair with warm, golden undertones, and relies on a mix of balayage and babylights. While Twilighting is typically designed with a brunette shade to reflect golden hues, it can be re-created on blondes and redheads.

Twilighting is going to be big for 2020 as it’s one of the most flattering and low-maintenance colors a brunette can have. Twilighting is designed to brighten up a brunette’s base color using subtle shades like caramel, gold, bronze, and warm chocolate to achieve a very natural result. By staying within two to three shades of your natural color and focusing around your face, you’re able to minimize your hair’s exposure to bleach while still looking like you spent hours in aluminum foil.

Shadow Roots 

If your natural roots are showing, show them off rather than trying to hide them! The blonde rooty look is totally in right now and is commonly known as shadow roots. This look gives hair an unusual contrast which works to brighten up your complexion. While this color is extremely low-maintenance and favorable to many, the longer the roots become the more dramatic this look can be.

Color Melted Ombres 

Ombres continue to evolve over time, which is good news for everyone as no one likes a monotonous style.  With ombre, there’s a clear distinction from the root color and the end color. Balayage created a “painted on” effect to better transition the root to its end color. Color melting flawlessly blends the colors so hair gradually becomes lighter and lighter.
